We are delighted that you are able to join us for the 50th edition of this popular sailing week Saundersfoot Sailing Club extends a warm welcome and honorary membership to all competitors and their families and guests during Coppet week and we hope that you will enjoy your time here with us here in Saundersfoot
Many of you will have been here before but for any new competitors just a few points to note – the main clubhouse is situated on the harbour where changing room and showering facilities are available , the clubhouse will also be open during the event and a separate social programme will be advertised.
The briefing will take place in the clubhouse @9.00 pm on Saturday May 27th.
We have been provided with some excellent prizes by St Brides Hotel and Spa including fish and chip dinners, afternoon tea and a session in their renowned Spa, we shall be drawing these prizes at the Briefing on Saturday so hopefully we will see you on Saturday to claim your prize
The tally board will be on or near to the beach for daily signing on and off together with updated information in respect of the racing programme and the Beach master will be in attendance throughout the event – full Sailing Instructions will be provided with this notice and will also be available from the Beach master and shown on the tally board.
Dinghy parking for the event will be on the main beach which has several different points of access , this is also a busy family beach so please be considerate of other beach users during the week , in addition please do not launch or recover your dinghies in the area of the beach patrolled by the Lifeguards and designated for swimmers.
The main beach is privately owned and the beach owners will NOT allow cars or road trailers onto the beach – we have made arrangements for a section of the Club’s dinghy park (which is situated on the harbour) to be made available to store your road trailers free of charge.
We hope that you will enjoy your week with us and we trust that you will continue to help us to ensure that the event runs smoothly without causing inconvenience to other holidaymakers and beach users, if you need any further advice or assistance in the first instance please speak with the Beach master who will if necessary liaise with one of our committee members.
We have also been provided with a series of small offers from local businesses and these spot prizes will be drawn on a daily basis with vouchers being issued by the Beach masters team to the lucky winners.
We hope that you will appreciate these kind donations by these local businesses and that you can hopefully reciprocate by continuing to support these businesses.
