Over the last three weeks a dedicated team of Saundersfoot Sailing Club (SSC) members taught 34 final year students from Saundersfoot Primary School how to sail. The children learnt about the parts of a boat, how to rig a boat, using the wind and how to sail around a small course. 

These sessions made excellent use of SSC's two new boats, which were purchased following their successful applications for grant funding over the winter months. The scheme was also supported by Outterreef Surf School www.outerreefsurfschool.com who kindly supplied wetsuits for the children. 

Today some of the training team went to Saundersfoot school to watch the final years production of The Tempest, which was fantastic. While we were there the school kindly presented us with a great photo book capturing moments from the three weeks of training we did with them. The book will be in the club house for all to enjoy.
